Zilmer Grinnell II

August 6, 1943 — February 13, 2015

Zilmer V. Grinnell II, 71, of Oostburg died at his home on Friday evening, February 13, 2015 following a battle with cancer. Zilmer was born in Madison, the son of Zilmer V. and Viola (Haack) Grinnell. He graduated from Monona High School in 1961. On June 15, 1966 he married Marjorie Klein in Sheboygan. She preceded him in death on March 23, 2012 following 45 years of marriage. Zilmer worked for the Kohler Co., K. W Muth, Elenco and the Sharon Cutwell Co. prior to his retirement in 2008. Zilmer was a member of the Lutheran Church Our Redeemer in Sheboygan. He enjoyed cars, auto restoration, hunting and fishing. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his son, Shane (Becky) Grinnell of Oostburg; two granddaughters, Brittany and Erin Grinnell; and one brother, Dwight Grinnell of Canada. Zilmer was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie; a son, Joel Grinnell; and one sister, Mardine Cumberton. A memorial service to celebrate Zilmer's Life will take place at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg to be held at 6 pm on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 with the Rev. Bryan Osladil officiating. Inurnment will take place at Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan. Family and friends will gather at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Tuesday from 4-6 pm A memorial fund is being established in his memory for Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
