Wilma A. Kohlhagen, passed away early Friday morning, February 11, 2022 at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls. She was 94 years old.
Wilma was born September 4, 1927 in Howards Grove, the daughter of Edwin and Sylvia (nee Dickmann) Bartz.
On June 12, 1948, Wilma was united in marriage with Norman Kohlhagen at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. The couple made their home in Sheboygan Falls, where Wilma raised their 3 sons. Norman preceded her in death in 1994.
Wilma loved spending time at family and friend gatherings, and cherished many special memories made at Norman’s family gas station/grocery store in Rhinelander. Wilma’s loving and caregiving nature lead her to babysit local children, and care for and keep an eye out for many ladies in her neighborhood over the years. She also enjoyed gardening, yardwork and working part-time at Smilings. Above all, she loved time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wilma is survived by her sons: Jeffrey (Lori) Kohlhagen of KY and James (Nancy Pilz) Kohlhagen of Sheboygan Falls and daughter-in-law: Vickie Kohlhagen of Sheboygan. She is further survived by 4 grandchildren: Elizabeth (Scott) Strausser, Justin (Anita) Kohlhagen, Jacob (Nycol) Kohlhagen and Ashley Kohlhagen; 6 great-grandchildren: Arianna, Aleena, Marchael, Regina, Callynn and Karissa; dear friends Beverly Sore, David and Rhonda Lutzke and Wayne and Rosie Sargent, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Norman, son Jerome, siblings Malitta Geyer, Melvin Bartz, Norman Bartz and Rawald Bartz.
Funeral Services celebrating Wilma’s life will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 730 County Highway PPP in Sheboygan Falls. The family will receive visitors at the church on Wednesday from 12:00-1:00PM. She will be laid to rest beside Norman at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in her name.
