William Joosse, 94, formerly of Hingham, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, March 17, 2008 at Pine Haven Christian Home. He was born January 23, 1914 in Middleburg, Netherlands, the son of the late John and Marie (Geldof) Joosse. William attended school in the Netherlands. On May 4, 1937 he married Lillian Ten Haken in Sheboygan Falls. She preceded him in death on March 11, 2006. William, along with his two brothers, George and Adrian, operated Joosse Farm Supply in four locations for 30 years before retiring in 1980. He was a member of Hingham Reformed Church, Oostburg Kiwanis, Gideon International and the Retired Bowling League. Survivors include one daughter, MaryAnn Moore of Kalamazoo, Mich.; two sons, Carl (Diane) Joosse of Hingham, Rev. Wayne (Verla) Joosse of East Troy; ten grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; two sisters, Marie (Paul) Nyhof, JoAnn (Carl) Tenpas, both of Cedar Grove; one brother, John Jr. (Phylis) Joosse of Cedar Grove; a brother-in-law, Alvin Navis of Sheboygan Falls; and 2 sisters-in-law, Laverne Joosse of Hingham and Bertha Ten Haken of Sheboygan Falls. William was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian, a great grandson, four sisters, two brothers and a son-in-law, Richard Moore. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 11:00a.m. at Hingham Reformed Church with the Rev. Steven J Bakker, officiating. Burial will take place at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until the family service at 10:45 a.m. A memorial fund will be established in his name for Pine Haven Christian Home and Hingham Reformed Church .
