William "Bill" Herberg, 95, of Sheboygan Falls passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Bill was born on May 1, 1920 in Sheboygan Falls to Henry and Clara (Mohnsam) Herberg. He was a 1938 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. Bill served his country in the Army Air Force in England during World War II. On July 30, 1955 he married Norine Hickox at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. She preceded him in death on May 2, 1981. Bill was a Purchasing Agent for Richardson Brothers Furniture Store until his retirement in 1982. Bill was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. He was an accomplished athlete during his high school years. He was involved in football, basketball, baseball and track and held a state record in pole vaulting. Bill enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. He loved playing golf and was known as "sweet swinging Bill". Bill is survived by his two daughters, Cheryl Herberg and Debbe Herberg; two sons, Dave (Donna) Herberg and Bob (Debra Gradt) Herberg all of Sheboygan Falls; six grandchildren, Angela (Jim) Bonovich, Meredith Herberg-Waldron, Ashley Herberg, Trevor Herberg-Waldron, Kyle Herberg and Abbe Golbach; two great grandchildren, Henry James and Elizabeth Ray Bonovich; one sister-in-law, Emmy Lou Sorum of FL. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Norine, two sisters, Violet and Lillian and one brother, Milton. A private family service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Mark Janzen officiating. Inurnment will be at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. A memorial fund to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice is being established in Bill's name.
