William "Bill" J. Gradt, 84, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Bill was born on March 14, 1932, in Chicago, IL, son of William F. and Eva Mae (Jensen) Gradt. He attended Boys Technical High School in Milwaukee. On August 27, 1949, he married the love of his life, Dorothy Zolna. Bill was employed with Holt Electric in Milwaukee for 42 years until his retirement in 1994. After retirement, they moved to Sheboygan Falls to be closer to their family. Bill was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan who had season tickets and attended the Ice Bowl. Bill proudly led the family Packer pool, loved his westerns, John Wayne, and his West Highland terrier, Sassy. He enjoyed feeding the birds and playing brain puzzles. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Dorothy; his three daughters, Gail (Tom) Jens of Kiel, Diane Provencher of Plymouth, and Debra (Robert) Herberg of Sheboygan Falls; seven grandchildren, Sarah (Butch) Macheel, Brian (Janel) Turkiewicz, Mark Jr. (Amber) Provencher, Michelle Provencher, Leah (Tony) Backhaus,Kevin (Katie) Turkiewicz and Chad (Melissa) Wettstein; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Merry (Robert) Jaworski of Wauwatosa. Bill is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law; Virginia and Bernard Zolna, sister-in-law, Marcella (Louis) Giese; son-in-law, Mark Provencher Sr.; grandson, Robert Provencher; great-granddaughter, Angel Elston. Funeral Services to celebrate Bill's life will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Bill's name.
