William D. Brown, 76, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at his home. William was born on November 3, 1939, in Marshfield, son of Donald and Olive (Patt) Brown. He was a 1958 graduate of Columbus High School in Marshfield. William began his service in the National Guard at the age of 16, serving from 1956-1963, including one year in the US Army at Fort Lewis in Washington, was in the Berlin Crisis. He was an expert marksman serving in the 32nd Division of the Red Arrow. On May 28, 1983, he married Peggy Hermann Arnoldi at St. Luke Church. William was employed at the Kohler Company Generator Division for 37 years until his retirement. William was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in the Town of Sheboygan Falls, where he was an usher, greeter, and church volunteer. He was active in the Sheboygan Falls Lions Club, the Sheboygan Falls Conversation Club, the Kohler Quarter Century Club, the Sheboygan Falls Jaycee Roosters, and a member of the NRA. William enjoyed shooting trap, bowling, traveling, fishing, hunting, yardwork, spending time at the family camper, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was also an avid Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan. William is survived by his wife of 32 years, Peggy; his daughter, Tracy Arens of Sheboygan Falls; two sons, Todd Arnoldi and Timothy (Jackie) Arnoldi, both of Sheboygan Falls; seven grandchildren, Steve and Zachary Arens, Alex, Hayden, Grant, Brooke, and Cole Arnoldi; one brother, Don "Skeeter" (Sue) Brown of Hewitt, WI; two sisters-in-law, Ruth A. Hermann of NC and Judy Brown of Sheboygan Falls; one brother-in-law, C. James "Jim" Hermann of New Holstein; and several nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his parents, Olive and Donald, his brother, Myron "Mickey" Brown, and his parents-in-law, Carl and Dorothy Hermann. Funeral services to celebrate William's life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 28, 2015, at St. Luke Lutheran Church with Rev. Elizabeth Jaeger officiating. Inurnment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may gather from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Sunday, December 27, 2015, and on Monday at the church from 10:00 until the time of the service at 11:00 am. A memorial fund has been established in William's name for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and Alzheimer's Association.
