Willard H. Kohlhagen, 93, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Wednesday morning, October 12, 2011 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. For the last three years, Willard was a resident of Pine Haven Residential Home. Willard was born on March 27, 1918 in Kohler, son of Arthur and Clara (Schneider) Kohlhagen. He was a 1936 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. On November 30, 1940 he married Eunice Bremer at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. Eunice preceded him in death on October 29, 2009. Willard was employed as a supervisor in the Engine plant with Kohler Company for many years until his retirement in 1982. After his retirement, Willard was a guide for Kohler Company plant tours. Willard was a life-long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, where he served many years on the Church council. He was also a member of the Kohler Quarter Century Club, a charter member of the Sheboygan Falls Lions Club, a Sheboygan Falls City Council member for 14 years and a member of the Sheboygan Falls Fire Department for 25 years. Willard was proud to be a life-long resident of Sheboygan Falls and faithfully supported local sports and businesses. A true Packer backer, Willard had season tickets and loved watching the Green and Gold. Willard is survived by three daughters, Barbara (George) Allmann of FL, Joanne Bosley of Mequon and Kathy Choren of Grafton; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Marjorie Damascus of Florida. Willard was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Eunice, his parents, and his grandson, John Harju. Funeral services to celebrate Willard's life will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 10:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev. Mark Janzen officiating. Interment will take place in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of the service at church. A memorial fund has been established in Willard's name for the Pine Haven Christian Home and the Lions Club Camp for the Blind.
