Wilbert Richter

Wilbert Raymond Richter, 93, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at his son's home at Horseshoe Lake. Wilbert was born on December 18, 1915 in Kohler, son of the late Carl and Marie (Heling) Richter. He attended Kohler schools. On September 2, 1938 he married Janet Frankman in Kohler. Wilbert was employed with Kohler Company for 45 years until his retirement in 1979. Wilbert was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kohler. He was also a member of the Kohler Company Quarter Century Club. Wilbert was a lifetime hunter and fisherman. He bowled in various leagues and was involved in dartball through Bethany Church. Survivors include one daughter, Alice Samse of Sheboygan Falls; two sons, Kenneth (Barbara) Richter of Horseshoe Lake, Robert (Julie) Richter of Sheboygan; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Richter of Sheboygan. Wilbert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet; his son, David Richter; a great granddaughter, Violet Alcantara; two brothers, Elmer and Milton and one sister, Loretta Brandt. Funeral services for Wilbert will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 11:00 am at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kohler with the Rev. Robert Steele officiating. Burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Kohler. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Wilbert's name for Bethany Lutheran Church Building Fund.
