Wendy Lensink

Wendy M. Lensink, 54, of Sheboygan, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, TN while attending her family reunion. Wendy was born on June 29, 1957, in Sheboygan to Gerald and Florence (Tatum) Lensink. She was a 1975 graduate of Oostburg High School and attended Lakeshore Technical College's Nursing Program. Wendy worked as a Medical Lab Assistant at Aurora Sheboygan Clinic. Wendy loved spending time with her family. She was a caretaker and was very good at keeping in touch with old friends. She enjoyed cooking and had a love for animals. Wendy was musically oriented. She enjoyed writing music, playing the piano, and guitar. Wendy is survived by her: lifelong friend, Patti De Blaey of Sheboygan and her family, Jennifer, Dillion, and Caysee Dirks, and Steven De Blaey; one brother, Gary (Barbara) Lensink of Clarksville, TN; three nephews, Greg Lensink, Kurt (Carrie) Lensink, Kevin (Dezarae) Lensink; one niece, Michelle (Christopher) Bolton; nine great nieces and nephews, Gavin, Quentin, Kailyn, Gabriel, Collin, Eric, Trinity, Chace, Riley; other relatives and many friends. Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Susan, and one nephew Eric. A funeral service to celebrate Wendy's life will be held at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg with Rev. Wayne DeVrou officiating. Private interment will be in Union Cemetery on Thursday. Relatives and friends may call from 4:30 pm until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in Wendy's name.
