Wayne Jarvis

Wayne W. Jarvis, 86, of 337 Mill St. Sheboygan Falls, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. He was born February 18, 1923 in Wautoma, the son of the late Henry and Marjorie (Wilcox) Jarvis. He was a 1941 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. Wayne served in the Army in WWII in Europe, 460 Antiaircraft Battalion for three years. He married JoAnn Ten Haken on October 21, 1947 in Sheboygan Falls. She preceded him in death in May of 1955. On June 27, 1964 he married Dorothy Huenink at Bethany Reformed Church in Sheboygan. She preceded him in death on September 18, 2003. Wayne worked at Kohler Company as a set-up man in the engine plant for 37 years before retiring in 1987. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Sheboygan Falls and the Kohler Company Quarter Century Club. Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, outdoors, traveling, and card playing. He was a good story teller, and was a loving father and grandfather. Survivors include a daughter, Joan Schnur of Cheyenne, Wyoming; four grandchildren, Dylan (Erika) Eigenberger, Luke (Katie) Eigenberger, Sarah (Tom) Riggans, Donna Schnur; three great grandchildren; two step-children, Marlene (Clyde) Trevaskes of Spokane, WA; Richard (Joyce) Ten Haken of Yuba City, CA; one step-grandson, Bret Rutter; one step great granddaughter; one brother, Billy (Judy) Jarvis of Glenbeulah; and one sister, Jane ( Irwin) Ten Haken of Portage. He was preceded in death by his wives, JoAnn and Dorothy, a daughter, Donna Cacciotti, and a step grandson, Thad Rutter. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls, with the Rev. Donald Drollinger, officiating. Burial will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Sunday, April 5, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. A memorial fund will be established in his name for Faith United Methodist Church.
