Warren Rhines

Warren C. "Rocky" Rhines, 85, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Thursday morning, May 30, 2013, at Pine Haven Residential Home where he had resided since September. Warren was born on March 5, 1928 in Sheboygan Falls, the son of Clarence and Selma (Maas) Rhines. Warren graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1946. He served in the US Army in Japan from 1950-52. On February 6, 1954 he married Bernice Krepsky in Sheboygan. Warren was an installer for Wisconsin Bell Telephone Co. for 32 years before his retirement in 1985. Warren was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls and the VFW Post #9156 in Sheboygan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood carving, sketching, and spending time at the cottage in Florence. Warren was a Green Bay Packer fan. Warren is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bernice; three daughters, Peggy (Joel) Tauschek , Karen (Scott) Willadsen, and Cheryl (Scott) Allen, all of Sheboygan Falls; five grandchildren, Amy (David) Engeldinger, Joshua (Holly Roska) Tauschek, Kate (friend, Bryan Anich) Tauschek, Sara and Andy Willadsen; seven great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Irene Schultz, Dorothy Schultz, Vernetta (Ray) Kohlmann, all of Sheboygan, and June (Bob) Fisher of Plymouth; and numerous nieces and nephews. Warren was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, an infant, Herbert and Clarence (Jeannie) Rhines. A memorial service and Military Honors to celebrate Warren's life will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev. Tom Gudmundson officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Sunday from 1-2 pm. A memorial fund has been established in Warren's name for Pine Haven Christian Communities and the VFW Post #9156.
