Warren R. Conner, 81, of 336 N. Main St., Cedar Grove, died Monday, November 26, 2007 at Sunny Ridge Health Care & Rehab Center. He was born February 25, 1926 in Ridley Park, Penn., the son of the late Marion A. and Ella (Singley) Conner. Warren attended Eddystone, Penn. High School and served in the US Navy aboard the USS Boxer in the South Pacific during WWII from 1944-46. On July 3, 1945 he married Ethel F. Plath in Woodlyn, Penn. Warren was a pattern maker for Scholten Pattern Works in Sheboygan for six years before retiring in 1991. He was a member of First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove, and the American Legion Post #338. Warren enjoyed boy scouting, traveling, woodworking and attending ship reunions. Survivors include his wife, Ethel; two sons, Warren R. Jr. (Linda) Conner of Omaha, Kenneth M. (Colette) Conner of Boothwyn, Penn.; five grandchildren, Dawn (Jeff) Cooley, Mindy (Ryan) Lindquist, Devon (Jeremy) Bauer, Stacey (Peter) Zarro, Kenneth (Melanie) Conner; and nine great grandchildren; Mitchell Booher, Abby, Conner and Kallie Lindquist, Collin Bauer, Vincent, Nick, Samantha and Isabella Zarro. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister and two brothers. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove, with the Rev. Kent Vant Hul, pastor, officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund will be established in his name for First Reformed Church.
