Walter Siech

Walter "Wally" C. Siech, 87 of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Monday evening, April 6, 2015, at his home. Wally was born on August 3, 1927, in the Town of Gillett in Oconto County, son of Henry and Nora (Moede) Siech. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict from 1950-1952. On September 19, 1953, he married Shirley Christensen in Lena, WI. Wally was employed with the Kohler Company for 41 years until his retirement in 1991. Wally was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls where he served as an usher and treasurer. He was a member of the Kohler Company Quarter Century Club, and a member of the American Legion Post 149, where he served as a past commander and on the firing squad. He was also a member of VFW #9156 and the Veteran Club of Local 883. Wally was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed traveling with his wife, gardening, and yard work. Wally is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley; his daughter, Gail (John II) Behrens of Kohler; his son, Randolph (Sandra) Siech of Sheboygan Falls; three grandchildren, Melissa (James) Main, Melanie (Derek) Rohde, and Miranda Siech; four great-grandchildren, Devon, Jackson, Jude, and Alexia; three sisters, Lillian Pasek of Two Rivers, Martha Makos of Green Bay, and Hertha Rickert of Hales Corners; two brothers, Henry (Ruby) Siech of Green Bay and Vernon (Carol) Siech of Green Bay; five sisters-in-law, Marian Siech of Two Rivers, Alice Denis of Green Bay, Peggy Christensen of Green Bay, Susan Srenaski of Green Bay, and Cathy Christensen of Green Bay; and three brothers-in-law, Arling Christensen of Pembine, James Christensen of Kingsford, MI, Donald (Sharon) Christensen of Little Suamico. Wally is also survived by nieces and nephews. Wally was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, Linda, Selma, Margaret, Norma, Elda, and Orma, and three brothers, Gay, Marvin, and Arnold. Funeral services to celebrate Wally's life will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, April 10, 2015, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 730 County Rd. PPP, in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Mark Janzen officiating. Entombment with military honors will take place at Gardens of Peace Mausoleum in the Town of Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Thursday, April 9, 2015, from 4:00 until 7:00 pm and also at the church on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of the service at 10:30 am. A memorial fund has been established in Wally's name for American Legion Post #149.
