Wallace Reinert

Wallace K. "Buddy" Reinert, 86, formerly of Sheboygan Falls died on Friday evening, January 6, 2012 at Meadowview Manor in Sheboygan Where he had resided the past three years. Wallace was born on August 12, 1925 in Sheboygan, the son of the late Michael and Frieda (Kuehl) Reinert. On September 27, 1947 he married Marie Boos at St. George Catholic Church in the Town of Wilson. She preceded him in death on November 4, 1983. He served in the US Army during World War II from 1943-46. Wallace worked as a machinist and in the maintenance dept at Tecumseh Die Cast in Sheboygan Falls for over 30 years before his retirement in 1987. Wallace was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls and the VFW Post # 9156 in Sheboygan. He enjoyed tractors, mowing lawn, gardening, spending time outdoors, and playing cards. Wallace is survived by two sons, Roger (Linda) Reinert and Anthony (Pamela) Reinert, both of Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Danielle (Dave) Halkin, Kenneth (fiance Nat) Reinert, Carrie Reinert, Mary (committed companion, Derek) Heck, Jennifer Reinert; one great grandson, Aaron Halkin; three sisters Doris Witthuhn of Plymouth, Gladys Zichitella of Fond du Lac and Betty Jones of California; one brother, Ted (Lil) Reinert of Arizona. Wallace was preceded in death by his wife, Marie; two sisters, Gloria and Viola; and one brother, Carl. Funeral services to celebrate Wallace's life will be held at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 1 pm with the Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Burial and Military Honors will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday from 11 am until the time of the service at 1 pm.
