Virgiline P. Ott, 91, of Sheboygan Falls died peacefully with her daughter and son-in-law at her side on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at her residence. Virgiline was born on December 5, 1924, the daughter of the late Frank and Norma (Schulz) Perman. Virgiline graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1943. On August 17, 1947 Virgiline married Leander Ott in Sheboygan. Leander preceded Virgiline in death on March 7, 1983 following 35 years of marriage. Virgiline worked in the office at Eclipse Mfg. in Sheboygan for over 20 years before her retirement in 1986. Virgiline was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. Previously she was a longtime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Sheboygan where she sang in the choir for over 30 years. She was a member of numerous bridge clubs, and volunteered for the Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, Sheboygan Falls Food Pantry, American Cancer Society, Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, Visiting Nurse Assoc., and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Virgiline is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Robert) Hertel of Sheboygan Falls; a daughter-in-law, Yvonne Soland-Ott of Appleton; two grandchildren, Adam (Rozalynne Woolf) Hertel of San Diego and Jeffrey Jr. (Kristen) Ott. of Kalamazoo, MI; one great grandaughter, Penelope Ott; a special longtime friend, Edward Podrzay and his family of Sheboygan; other friends and extended family. Virgiline was preceded in death by her husband, Leander; a son, Jeffrey Ott; her parents and step father, Royal Schafer; one sister, Betty Jane (Clifford) Fintelmann and one brother, Raymond (Dorothy) Perman. A service to celebrate Virgiline's life will take place at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 6 pm with the Rev. Mark Janzen officiating.
