Violet "Vi" Foley, a resident at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the age of 101.Vi was born on February 3, 1916 in the town of Scott, daughter of Edwin and Amanda Engelmann. On July 12, 1947 she married Ralph Foley. After their marriage they made their home in Plymouth. Vi was employed over the years as JC Penney and Leys Department Store in Plymouth.Vi was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Plymouth. She was also a member of the Plymouth Civic Society, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and various bridge clubs.Vi is survived by one son, James (Jeanne) Foley of California; one daughter, Jane Foley of Sheboygan Falls; three grandchildren, Sarah Blanke Grummert of Milwaukee, Natalie Foley and Nicholas Foley of California; and one great grandson, Oscar Grummert.Vi was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers, Kenneth, Leslie and Edward Engelmann; and three sisters, Vernita Ramm and Lorainne Nelson and Doris Brodell.Cremation will take place and an inurnment will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Plymouth.
