Viola C. Meyer, 90, of 126 Ramaker Avenue, Cedar Grove, died quietly at her home on Saturday morning, January 23, 2010. Viola was born on March 18, 1919, in the Town of Lima, the daughter of the late Abram and Jennie (Brusse) Dulmes. On September 30, 1939, she married Kenneth B. Meyer in Sheboygan Falls. Viola was a member at the First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove. She enjoyed bowling, cooking and playing cards. Viola is survived by her husband of 70 years, Kenneth; one son, Tom Meyer of Cedar Grove, a daughter-in-law, Cheryl (Dennis) (Meyer) Reha of Cedar Grove; five grandchildren, Daniel and Terri (fiancé Justin Black) Meyer, Jeffrey (Laura), Kevin, and Bradley Meyer; one great granddaughter, Elise Meyer; two sisters, Marjorie (Kenneth) Popp of Sheboygan Falls, Doris (Alan) Smith of Virginia; three sisters-in-law, Marijean Dulmes of Oostburg, Ruth Graven of Hartford, and Juanita Simmelink of Arizona; and a brother-in-law, Russell (Virginia) Meyer of Cedar Grove. Viola is also survived by nieces and nephews. Viola was preceded in death by two sons, an infant, Richard, and Roger Meyer; two sisters, Mildred (Lewis) Kaland and Helen (Melvin) Oonk; two brothers, Ronald Dulmes and Lloyd (Mary) Dulmes. Funeral services will be held at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg at 11 am, on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, with the Rev. Kent Vant Hul officiating. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in the Town of Holland. Friends may greet the family at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Tuesday from 4-7 pm, and on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am.
