Vance A. Tanner, 56, of 611 Danube Court, Apt 2, Sheboygan Falls died at his residence on Tuesday, January 1, 2008. Vance was born on June 17, 1951 in Faulkton, SD, the son of the late Willard F. and Doris (Perry) Tanner. He graduated from Faulkton High School in 1969 and Northern State College in Aberdeen, SD in 1973. Vance married the former Kimberly Tesinsky on December 20, 1975 in Wheaton, Illinois. He was a supply chain manager for over 30 years and most recently worked at PolyFab in Sheboygan. Vance was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Sheboygan Falls where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He enjoyed remodeling houses, doing home repairs, and fix-up. Vance will be remembered as a gifted story teller. He and his son enjoyed remote control airplanes together. Vance is survived by his wife, Kim of Sheboygan Falls; one daughter, Schanina (Nate) Bennett of Sheboygan Falls; one son, Jeremy (Mandy) Tanner of Sheboygan; one sister, Nancy (Paul) Metzger of Montgomery, Alabama; three brothers, Terry (Mary Beth) Tanner of Greenville, SC, Willard H. (Peggy) Tanner of Conyers, GA, and Kevin (Sharon) Tanner of Faulkton, SD; and his mother-in-law, Edith Tesinsky of Scottsdale, AZ. Vance is also survived by aunts, uncles, many nieces, and nephews. Funeral services for Vance will be held at the Grace Baptist Church, 5404 County Road A, Sheboygan Falls on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 3 pm with the Rev. Larry Taylor officiating. Burial will take place at Miranda Cemetery in Faulkton, SD. Friends may call at the church, on Saturday, from 1 pm until the time of the service.
