Travis Michael Janssen, 52, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 23, 2017, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.Travis was born on September 3, 1965, in Sheboygan to Clemens and Nancy (Mattuschek) Janssen. He was a 1983 graduate of Kohler Public School and graduated from Lakeshore Techinical College in 1985 with an Associates Degree in Material Management. Travis married Mary Beth Spellich on October 7, 1995 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler. Travis was employed at Kohler for over 30 years as a Senior Material Planner and Scheduler in the Brass Division. Travis performed cash cropping on the Janssen fourth-generation family farm with his brother Todd and volunteered at Roy's Tree Lot in Kohler. He was a member of St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler and the Kohler Quarter Century Club. Travis was active with the Kohler Boy Scout Troop 831, with his son, Michael. He enjoyed farming, his tractors, woodworking, chickens, and baking with his daughter, Abbey. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children, Michael and Abbey. Travis had a very strong presence in the Village of Kohler and the community of Sheboygan Falls and will be remembered for his legacy of service and friendship. Travis is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Janssen of Kohler; son, Michael Janssen; daughter, Abbey Janssen; mother, Nancy Janssen of Sheboygan Falls; brothers and sisters, Tim (Carol) Janssen of Sheboygan, Tama (Lou) Janssen-Saldivar of Menomonee Falls, Todd Janssen of Sheboygan Falls and Terese Janssen of Wauwatosa; three brothers-in-law, Ron Spellich of Rolling Meadows, IL, Michael (Jill) Spellich of St. Nazianz, and Shawn (Amy) Spellich of Reedsville; parents-in-law, Robert and Shirley Spellich of Sheboygan; nieces and nephews, April, Brent, Tyler, Brianna, Elliott, Tyler, Taylor, Erin, Noah, Ken, Ben and Nicholas.. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.Travis was preceded in death by his father, Clemens Janssen; and one brother, Thomas Janssen.A funeral service to celebrate Travis's life will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at St. John Evangelist Church in Kohler with Rev. Joe Dominic officiating. A private family entombment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.Relatives and friends may greet the family at St. John Evangelist Church in Kohler on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 2pm until the time of service at 6pm.
