Todd A. Ranke, 47, of 1708 North County Road J, Reedsville, (Cato), and formerly of Cedar Grove, died at his home on Sunday morning, May 14, 2006, with his family at his side following a courageous battle with cancer. Todd was born on November 13, 1958, in Milwaukee, the son of Gene and Joyce (Pfeiffer) Ranke. On August 20, 1988 he married Christine (Villa) Kittler in King, WI. They resided in the Cedar Grove area for the past 15 years until their recent move to Cato in Manitowoc County in October. Todd was a self employed, over the road trucker for the past 27 years. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, yard work, grilling out for his family, and fix-it-projects. Some of his greatest loves though, were motors, engines and tractors. He and his Dad spent many hours working on rebuilding tractors. Todd was a devoted husband and father who cared deeply for the welfare of his family, was gentle and kind, thought of others before himself, and was known for his sense of humor. Todd is survived by his wife, Christine; one daughter, Stacy Kittler of Sheboygan; two sons, Matthew Ranke of Seattle, WA, and Vernon Kittler of Cedar Grove; one granddaughter, Hayley Hilgenberg; his parents, Gene and Joyce Ranke of Cedar Grove; one sister, Susan (Scott) Stedman of Milwaukee; his parents-in-law, Richard and Elizabeth Villa of Cato; one sister-in-law, Tracey Villa of Cedar Grove; and two brothers-in-law, Rick (Ann) Villa of Cedar Grove and James Villa of Milwaukee; two nieces, Megan and Macy Villa; and two nephews, AJ Wittenburg and Jordan Villa. He is also survived by uncles, aunts other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at 10:30 am at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg with the Rev. Wayne Tripp officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 from 4-8 pm, and on Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of services.
