Timothy J. Hoffmann, 39, of N2962 River Ridge Road, Waldo (Hingham) peacefully went home to his Lord on Thursday evening, May 28, 2009, with his family at his side while at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. Tim was born on May 11, 1970 in Milwaukee. He was the son of Jack and Marilyn "Mary" (VanEss) Hoffmann. Tim graduated from Oostburg High school in 1988 and attended UW-Oshkosh. On October 10, 1998 he married the former Karla Kramer in Oostburg. Tim was a concrete finisher for Oostburg Concrete Products for the past 23 years up until the time of his death. Tim was a lifelong member at First Reformed Church in Oostburg and served as a deacon, head usher and former Sunday School teacher. He enjoyed fishing, golf, watching Formula One racing and yard work. He had a deep and consistent concern for other people. He had a personal conviction that it was his responsibility to help those in need. He was considerate and always helpful. Tim had a special love for children. Tim was an inspiration to many people, especially during the time of his own illness. Tim is survived by his wife, Karla of Hingham; his parents, Jack and Mary Hoffmann of Oostburg; his sister, Julie (Daniel) Sonnentag of Oostburg; four nephews, Jonah, Jacob, Jordan, and Justin Sonnentag; his parents-in-law, LeRoy and Carol (Reiss) Kramer of Plymouth; his grandmothers, Ruth Hoffmann of Oostburg, and Marilyn Reiss of Plymouth; and one brother-in-law, Randy (Jacqueline) Kramer of Pierre, SD. Tim was preceded in death by grandparents, Elmer Hoffmann, Isaac and Esther VanEss, Edward and Frances Kramer, and George Reiss. A celebration of Tim's life will be held at the First Reformed Church in Oostburg at 10:30 am, on Monday, June 1, 2009 with the Rev. Wayne DeVrou officiating. A family service will precede at 10:15 am in the fellowship hall. Burial will follow at Hingham Cemetery in the Town of Lima. Friends may greet the family at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Sunday, May 31, 2009 from 1-7 pm; and on Monday, at church, from 9 am until the time of the service at 10:30 am. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staffs of the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the love and dedicated care given to Tim and his family.
