Thomas Wesendorf

Thomas F. Wesendorf, 49, of Ft. Myers, FL, formerly of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at his home. Tom was born on August 17, 1961, in Sheboygan, WI, son of Thomas E. and Susan (Nitsche) Wesendorf. He was a 1979 Sheboygan Falls High School graduate. Tom was the Superintendent of Bonita Springs Golf Course in Bonita Springs, FL. Tom was a member of the Sheboygan Falls Conservation Club Trap League, Sheboygan Falls United Football League, Town of Sheboygan Falls Fire Department, Sheboygan Falls Fire Department, Modeling Clubs, and Sons of American Legion/Sanibel American Legion Post 123 in Sanibel Island, FL. Tom was an avid modeler and kept in touch with other modeling friends worldwide. Tom will be missed dearly by his family, his Sanibel friends, and his friends in Hibbing, Minnesota at the Northwest Invitational Golf Tournament. Tom is survived by his mother, Susan of Sheboygan Falls; two sisters, Debra (Ed) Florian, Julie Daus; one brother, Christopher (Dawn) Wesendorf; two step-nieces, Larissa and Courteney Duchow; and one step-nephew, Brody Duchow; two aunts, Mary Jancik and Wendy (Dick) Schmitt; three cousins, Karen (Craig) Korn, Kristen (Jeff) Rollman, Erin (Alex) Schmitt. Bob (Sandy) Peterson, Vicky (Dan) Meyer, Scott (Debbie) Peterson, Terri Peterson, Barbara (Don) Lohr, Amy (Todd) Simonich, Steve Simonich. Tom is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his father, brother-in-law Donn Daus; uncle, Joseph Jancik; grandparents, Thomas H. (Margaret) Wesendorf, Frederick (Gertrude) Nitsche; Arthur (Wilma) Peterson. A memorial service to celebrate Tom's life will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Donald Hasse officiating. Inurnment will be in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established in Tom's name for Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.
