Thomas C. Destree, 59, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Thomas was born on May 23, 1955, in Kewanee, son of Clifford Destree and Marcey (Ratajczak-Destree) Pelnar. He was a 1973 graduate of Kewanee High School. Thomas served in the US Navy for 17 years. On February 15, 1992, he married Herminia Ordejan in Fresno, California. Thomas was employed in maintenance for the American Club in Kohler for 18 years. Thomas enjoyed fishing, canoeing, and riding his Harley Davidson. Thomas is survived by his wife of 22 years, Herminia; his three daughters, Ginger Destree of New Jersey, Michelle Destree of California, and Renee (Jason) Hanley of California; his son, Joshua (Jessica) Destree of Pennsylvania; three step-children, Jennifer Richardson (boyfriend, Eric) of Chicago, Emelia Miller of Virginia and Keith Miller of Maryland; his mother, Marcey Pelnar; nine grandchildren, Rachele, Shalane, Charles, Bradley, Electra, Kaylee, Owen, Avery, and Jaxon; one step-grandchild; two sisters, Susan (John) Matte of Manitowoc and Jean Destree of Sturgeon Bay; three brothers, Kenneth (Diane) Destree of Green Bay, Joseph (Mary) Destree of Columbus, WI, and Steven (Tish) Destree of Virginia Beach, VA; two step-sisters, Pam (Dale) Post of Newton and Tammy (Dean) Johanek of Wausaukee; one step-brother, David (Gwen) Pelnar of Green Bay; and dear friends, Konrad and Violy Steiner, Greg and Tana Herr, Margarita Dulay, and Alicia and Trinity Herr. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Clifford, his step-father, James Pelnar, grandparents, Lucas and Emily Ratajczak and Jule and Ida Destree, his children's mother, Glenda Andersen. Funeral services to celebrate Thomas' life will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Entombment will take place at Gardens of Peace Mausoleum in the Town of Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 11am until the time of service at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Thomas' name for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center for all of their care and compassion that they gave to Thomas and the entire family.
