Theodore Rostkowski

Theodore F. Rostkowski Sr., 69, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. Ted was born on June 4, 1946 in Mulheim, Germany. He migrated to the United States on January 20, 1952, aboard The General R. M. Blatchford with his adoptive parents, Jan and Maria (Panzorz) Rostkowski. Ted served in the US Army. On August 18, 1973, he married Louise Gavin in Sheboygan. Ted was a semi driver for RDT Transport until his retirement in 2013. Ted was a member of the VFW Post #9156 in Sheboygan. He enjoyed working on cars, was a fan of science and astronomy, and loved riding motorcycles with his wife Louise. Ted is survived by his wife of 42 years, Louise; one daughter, Christine Rostkowski of Kentucky; three sons, Theodore Jr.(Heather) Rostkowski of Sheboygan, Francis Rostkowski of Sheboygan, and Gary Meyer of Plymouth; six grandchildren, Danielle (Fiancé JJ Buboltz) Lindekugel, Cindy (David) Hansmann, Samantha Rostkowski, Sierra Rostkowski, Darwin Rostkowski, and Harlan Rostkowski; four great-grandchildren, Savannah, Leiland, Harmony, and Hunter; mother-in-law, Irene Gavin and father-in-law, Francis (Joan) Gavin; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Paula (Bob) Smith, Susan (Jerry) Howell, and Nettie (Riley) Knudson. Ted is further survived by other relatives and friends. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Gavin, and brother-in-law, William Gavin. A memorial service to celebrate Ted's life will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Tom Fleischmann officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Ted's name.
