Terrill J. Harmelink, 33, of 2003 S. 3rd Avenue Place, Marshalltown, IA, and a resident at Country View in Waterloo, passed away on Sunday morning, October 18, 2009 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, IA. Terrill was born on April 10, 1976 in Sheboygan, the son of Glenn and Luann (Hoitink) Harmelink. Terrill is a member of Marshalltown Evangelical Free Church and was active in Special Olympics. He attended the Early Intervention Program at RCS in Sheboygan, Lightfoot School in Sheboygan Falls, Pleasant Hill School in Marshalltown, and Smouse, and Ruby Van Meter Schools in Des Moines. He loved people and had an infectious smile that would melt anyone's heart. He loved being outside, swimming, watching the Price is Right and the Muppets. His smile, hugs, high fives and handshakes will be sorely missed. Survivors include his parents, Glenn and Luann Harmelink of Marshalltown, IA, his paternal grandmother, Evelyn Harmelink of Sheboygan Falls; aunts, Joyce (Allen) Kuhlow of Hingham, Mary Lou (L. Don) DuMez of Oostburg, Darlene (Ron) Navis of Sheboygan, and Bonnie (Stan) Ramaker of Fond du Lac; uncles, Paul (Sylvia) Hoitink of Plymouth and Perry (Cindy) Hoitink of Oostburg. Terrill is also survived by cousins and dear friends. Terrill was preceded in death by his sister, Heidi Harmelink; grandparents, Earl Harmelink, and Lloyd and Delores Hoitink and cousin, Stephanie Kuhlow. A celebration of Terrill's life will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 10:00 am at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg with the Revs. Bob Kosbau and Steve Howe officiating. Burial will take place at Hingham Cemetery in the Town of Lima. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and also on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of the service at 10:00 am.
