Shirley M. Lorenz

Shirley M. Lorenz, 96, formerly of Kohler, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at her home in Plymouth.

Shirley was born March 5, 1928 in Sheboygan, the daughter of Arthur and Celia (Point) Polzin. She was united in marriage to Bernard “Bundy” Lorenz on June 2, 1978 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler.

Shirley is survived by a daughter and two sons: Stacey (Brad) Hibbard of Plymouth, Steve (Ardis) Rosenthal of Plover and Tim (Cindy) Rosenthal of Sheboygan. She is further survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by many in-laws, other relatives and friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Bundy on November 4, 2016, her parents, three sisters: Florine Polzin, Vernetta (Howard) Jones and Phyllis (William) Mannchen; brother Arthur Polzin, Jr.; other in-law relatives.

She found much love and much sorrow in her lifetime; but she was a woman who had known enough pain to love; a mother who sometimes was strong enough to give. Not many knew her well, but the Good Lord sent her a sincere, wonderful man; they were very much in love. They are once again together; their ashes scattered in a place where they found great happiness. Love is Eternity.

Shirley has been blessed; there will be no public services.

To her children, she asked that they do not grieve but accept what was left behind – all her love which will never die. God Bless.

Memorials in Shirley’s name are suggested to St. John’s Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler.
