Shirley Boyd

Shirley M. Boyd, 82, of Cedar Grove, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday morning, November 30, 2012, at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center. Shirley was born on December 25, 1929 in Winnipeg, Canada, daughter of John and Irene (Herzog) McIntosh. On April 2, 1949 she married Hugh Boyd in West Allis. In 1985, Shirley and Hugh attended Central Texas College in Killeen, TX. Hugh passed away on July 31, 2003. Shirley was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Sheboygan Falls. She was a member of the Sheboygan Writers Club. Shirley loved spending time with her family. She loved to paint, write, wood-burn, camp, sing and play guitar. Shirley will always be remembered for being a spiritual prayer warrior. Shirley is survived by three daughters, Cindy (Phillip) Lodde of Sheboygan Falls, Audrey Schmeling of Sheboygan, and Jennifer (Jerry) Radschlag of Oostburg; five sons, Thomas (Marcia) of Thiensville, Timothy of Sheboygan, John (Christy) of Neosho, Stephen (Jan) Kohler, and Hugh Joel (Jackie) of Camp Douglas; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Audrey (Ray) Waitrovich of Brookfield; one brother, Thomas (Beverly) McIntosh of New Berlin; dearest friend, Ilona Szeifert of Sheboygan. Shirley is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Hugh; her parents; one sister, Wannalee McIntosh; and one brother, Jack McIntosh. Funeral services to celebrate Shirley's life will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, December 3, 2012, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg with Rev. Joe Brath and Rev. John Putnam officiating. Inurnment will take place in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 until the time of the service at 7:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established in Shirley's name.
