Sharon Anne Klein, 83, passed away peacefully at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice on Sunday, September 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Sharon was born on February 3, 1941, to Harold and Cora (Gill) Torke. She attended grade school in Cascade and graduated from Plymouth High School. On December 13, 1958, she was united in marriage to Frederick “Fritz” Klein at Hingham Reformed Church.

Sharon was a member of Hingham Church. Sharon enjoyed painting, ceramics, decorating, and took great pride in her yard. She also enjoyed winter months in Arizona with family and friends. What she treasured most was having her family gather in the beautiful home she created. Sharon was a dedicated farm wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 65 years, Frederick; children, Denise Klein, Carrie Klein, Troy (Kasey) Klein; grandchildren, Jeremy (Jolene) Klein, Kayla (Cody Czarnecki) Scholten, Macy (fiancé Shane Long) Scholten, Danielle (BJ Guaro) Scholten, Tanner (Noel) Klein, Taylor (Evan) Schrauth; great grandchildren, Ian Procek, Briella, McKenley, and Kadence Schrauth. She is further survived by her siblings, Dale Torke, Carol Atkins; sisters-in-laws; Edith Marquardt, Virginia Schrieber and Alice (Wayne) Navis; brother-in-law, George (MaryJane) Klein; and many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Sharon is preceded in death by her son, Tracy Klein; parents; parents-in-law, George and Viola Klein; sister, Marie (Jake) Dickmann, and brothers-in-law, Gary Opgenorth, Norb Schreiber and Ken Markwardt.

A funeral service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held at Hingham Church on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11:30am. She will be laid to rest at Hingham Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may greet the family at church from 9:30am until the time of service.

Memorial donations can be made in Sharon's name to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
