Sara Marie DeBlaey, 93, of Cedar Grove, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.Sara M. Dirkse was born on September 10, 1925, in Sheboygan, to John and Mary (Vandewege) Dirkse. She attended Harmony Grade School. On October 16, 1943, Sara married Stanley DeBlaey. Sara was a faithful wife and busy mother while raising her seven children. She was an active member of First Christian Reformed Church of Oostburg where she was involved in the Eunice Society, enjoyed helping in the nursery, and was active with the Oostburg Christian School Circle. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, motorcycle riding, doll making, and was the happiest when she was helping others and spending time with her family. Sara is survived by her husband, Stanley DeBlaey of Cedar Grove; three daughters, Sandra TeStroete, Shirley Tyler, Debra (Richard) Stapelkamp; four sons, Wayne (Deborah) DeBlaey, Mike (Kay) DeBlaey, Glen (Wendy) DeBlaey, Scott (Terri) DeBlaey; fourteen grandchildren, Jeff, Tom, Allison, Jan, Andrew, David, Dennis, Kevin, Gail, Jacqueline, Randy, Alicia, Danielle, and William; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Hoogwers and Lorraine DeBlaey; 25 great-grandchildren. Sara is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Sara was preceded in death by her parents, John & Mary Dirkse; an infant granddaughter; two sisters, Delia "Nok" (Peter) DenBoer, Joyce (Ed) Munnik; two brothers, Jacob (Corrine) Dirkse, John (Elayne) Dirkse, and a son-in-law, Bradford Tyler.A funeral service to celebrate Sara's life will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at 11 am at the First Christian Reformed Church in Oostburg with Pastor Drew Zylstra officiating. A burial will take place at Hartman Cemetery in Oostburg.Relatives and friends may greet the family at the church on Monday, November 5th, from 4 pm until 7 pm and again on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of service at 11 am. A memorial fund is being established in her name for Oostburg Christian School and the nursery at First Christian Reformed Church.
