Sandra L. Froehlich

Sandra Froehlich, 78, a beloved member of the Sheboygan community, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Born August 24, 1946 to Jake and Ruth Arnst, Sandra grew up in Sheboygan, where her parents owned and operated Arnst Zipper Service on Michigan Avenue. She attended North High School and graduated in 1964.

Sandra was an incredible seamstress, dedicating many years to the family business alongside her sister Carol McElroy. Her skill and dedication were admired by all who knew her.

In 1968, Sandra married Stuart Froehlich, and together they built a life filled with adventure. She is survived by her children: Cynthia Braun, Jennifer (Jay) Stephany, Paul (Stephanie) Froehlich; six grandchildren: Evan Braun, Madison Braun, Samantha Braun, Isabella Stephany, Jude Froehlich, and Eli Froehlich; sister Carol McElroy; other relatives and friends.

Sandra and Stuart shared many adventures flying their 1966 Cherokee, and were actively involved in the local aviation community, including EAA Chapter 766. Sandra served as Vice President of the Sheboygan County Aviation Corp and was honored with the Experimental Aircraft Association’s international EAA Major Achievement Award in 2001 for her contributions to recreational aviation. Sandra also enjoyed golfing, bowling, roller skating, and rummage sailing.

Sandra faced a challenging journey after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2004. Despite the difficulties, she remained grateful for the help and kindness she received each day. A special thank you to Rocky Knoll for their care of Sandra.

Sandra will be remembered for her warmth, talent, and dedication to her family and community. Her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren, who carry forward her spirit of love and resilience.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, April 25th, 2025 at Wenig Funeral Home, 711 Broadway in Sheboygan Falls. All are welcome to view a livestream of her service on her obituary page at wenigfh.com . The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00-3:00PM.
