Sally Johnson

Sally A. Johnson, 73, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 12, 2016, at Woodland Manor in Sheboygan Falls. Sally was born on July 17, 1943, in Stevens Point, WI, daughter of Greg and Linnea (Anderson) Simonis. She was a 1961 graduate of PJ Jacobs High School in Stevens Point and attended Madison Business School. On October 15, 1966, she married Wes Johnson in Stevens Point. Sally was employed as an office assistant at Bemis Manufacturing for 28 years until her retirement in 2007. Sally was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls, where she sang with the contemporary choir. She was a past president of the Jaycettes and also a member in the Booster Club and Band Parents. Sally enjoyed sewing, camping, hiking, bicycling, and spending time at the family cabin. Sally is survived by her husband of 49 years, Wes; her two sons, Chad (Ricki) Johnson of Cross Plains and Craig (Becca) Johnson of Portage; three grandchildren, Maya, Brett, and Michael Johnson; one sister, Janet (George) Jury of Petoskey, MI; one brother, Phillip (Judy) Simonis of Cape Coral, FL; and her mother-in-law, Helen Johnson. Sally was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Sally's life will be held at noon on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls. Family and friends may gather at the church from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at noon. A memorial fund has been established in Sally's name for the Alzheimer's Association.
