Ruth Willadsen

Ruth L. Willadsen, 84, of Sheboygan and formerly of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Sunny Ridge Health Care Center. Ruth was born on March 10, 1926 in Sheboygan, daughter of Karl and Alice (Kriplean) Grasse. She was a 1944 graduate of Sheboygan Central High School. On September 20, 1947 she married Paul B. Willadsen in Sheboygan. Paul preceded her in death on March 28, 2008. Ruth was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary, the Friends Society and a Sunday School teacher. Ruth enjoyed cleaning her house, spending time with her family at Camp Luther, and playing bingo at Sunny Ridge. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Paulette (James) Gregus of Sheboygan Falls; three sons, Tom Paul Willadsen of New Orleans, LA, Karl Willadsen of Destin, FL and Chris (Vicky) Willadsen of Waldo; two brothers, Jack Grasse of Howards Grove and Tom (Millie) Grasse of Sheboygan; and six grandchildren, Joshua (Amy) Willadsen, Jared Willadsen, Dina Roach, Sarah (Alex) Davis, Jason Willadsen, and Amanda Willadsen; one great-granddaughter, Annastasia Willadsen; step-mother, Dorothy Grasse; one brother-in-law, Gerald Willadsen of Sheboygan Falls; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Paul and her sister Carol Blanchard. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 1:00 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev. Tom Gudmundson officiating. Interment will take place in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 1:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established in Ruth's name for St Paul Lutheran Ladies Auxiliary and for large print Bibles for the residents at Sunny Ridge Health Care Center.
