Ruth Marie Majerus (92) of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin passed away peacefully -- surrounded by loving family and caregivers on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Libby's House in Plymouth. A true Packer fan, Ruth left this world wearing her Aaron Rodgers t-shirt. Ruth was born on April 15, 1922 in Sheboygan, daughter of Roland and Minnie (Krause) Wagner. She was a 1940 graduate of Sheboygan Central High School. On May 17, 1940, she married Bernard (Bernie) Majerus. Ruth lived a busy and active lifestyle - she was always on the go. She worked at Pine Haven, Kohler, and for the last 25 years at Aurora Healthcare, where she retired at the young age of 90! She was a strong Christian, and an active member of Grace United Church of Christ in Kohler. Her hobbies included knitting club, gardening, cooking, baking, fishing, playing games and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her friends "The Merry Widows". Ruth was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Ruth's most precious memories were created when she spent time with family and friends. Ruth is survived and will be greatly missed by her loving family: two daughters, Patti Brethouwer (Don) of Sheboygan Falls, and Jani Wachter (the late Chuck) of Coon Rapids, MN; two twin sons, Dale (Barbara) Majerus of Hill City, MN and Dave (Suzanne) Majerus of Sheboygan Falls; eight grandchildren, Kurt (Kris) Brethouwer, Kristi (John) Loehr, Cari (Mark) Stenzel, Charles Jr. (Becky) Wachter, Sarah Majerus, Katie Majerus, Joe (Sarah) Majerus and Jesse (Liz) Majerus; nine great grandchildren, Alia, Liam, Gabby, Zachary (Ashley), Lauren, Charlotte, Clara, Charlie Jr, and Max; two great-great grandchildren, Audrey and MacKinley. Ruth is also survived by one brother-in-law Jerry Majerus, many nieces and nephews, and her Campbellsport cousins. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years (Bernie), her parents (Roland & Minnie), one infant grandson, one sister (Dorothy), six sisters-in-law (Mary, Alyce, Pat, Barbara, Carol & Lois), six brothers-in-law (Leo, Ray, Tommy, Hodge, Gordon & Art), and one son-in-law (Chuck). A funeral service to celebrate Ruth's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at: The Chapel of Eternal Light, Sheboygan. Reverend Tom Schroeder will be officiating. Friends and family may gather for a visitation anytime from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 1:00 p.m. A luncheon will follow. The Majerus family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Libby's House, Serenity Hospice, and Rocky Knoll. The family also expresses their deep appreciation for the friendship extended by Ruth's work associates and dear friends Lucille, Linda and the Merry Widows. A memorial fund will be established in Ruth's name for the Broughton Marsh Education Center.
