Roy Sadro

Roy V. Sadro, 88, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Friday morning, December 6, 2013, at Pine Haven Christian Home, where he was a resident for the past week. Roy was born on February 21, 1925, in the Town of Sheboygan, son of Ernst and Renate (Kuse) Sadroschinski. He attended Mapledale School. Roy served in the Wisconsin National Guard - Red Arrow Division from 1943 - 1945. On October 29, 1955, he married Muriel Schuette in Plymouth. In 1976, Roy and his family had their last name legally changed from Sadroschinski to Sadro. Roy was employed as a field Service technician with Kohler General in Sheboygan Falls for 24 years until his retirement in 1990. Roy was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. He was a member of the Sheboygan Accordion Club and served as president for six years. He was also a member of the Green Bay Accordion Club and the Tri-County Pork Producers. Roy enjoyed playing accordion, tractors, music, and traveling. Roy is survived by his wife, Muriel "Blondie"; his two sons, Scott (Rita) Sadro and Gary Sadro, both of Sheboygan Falls; three grandchildren, Dan Sadro, Nikki (Matt) Stenson, and Nicole McDermott; and one great-grandson, Micah Stenson. Roy was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter-in-law, Barbara Sadro. Funeral services to celebrate Roy's life will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, December 9, 2013, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Tom Gudmundson officiating. Private entombment will take place at Gardens of Peace Mausoleum in the Town of Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 3:30 pm until the time of the service at 6:30 pm. A memorial fund has been established in Roy's name for St. Paul Lutheran Church.
