Roger L. Noll, 71, of 2068 County Road A, Belgium, died peacefully at his home, with his family at his side on Wednesday night, May 12, 2010 following a lengthy illness of glioblastoma/brain tumor. Roger was born on June 19, 1938 in Sheboygan, the son of the late A. Foster and Clara (Schueller) Noll. He graduated from Port Washington High School in 1956. Roger served in the US Army National Guard from 1957-63. On July 24, 1965 he married Rita M. Jacoby in Dacada.Roger was a lifelong dairy farmer in the Town of Belgium. Roger was an active and faithful member of Holy Rosary Parish - Holy Cross Chapel in the Town of Belgium. He was a lector, usher, member of the Catholic Knights #163, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and the former Holy Name Society. Roger was an active member of the community having served on the Town of Belgium Board for 15 years; as supervisor, appeals board, and the planning commission. He was a member of the State Holstein Assoc, Ozaukee Co. Holstein Breeders, Farm Bureau, Dairy Promotions Committee, Washington/Ozaukee Co. FSA, Ozaukee Co. Land Conservation Committee, and was a leader for the Holy Cross 4-H Club. Roger enjoyed his life on the farm, attending auctions, visiting with friends and neighbors, draft horses, playing sheepshead, going for Sunday drives, spending time with his dogs, and going to Door County. He enjoyed history and was very proud of his Swiss heritage. He is survived by his wife, Rita; one daughter, Kari (friend Bill) Noll of Random Lake; three sons, Ryan (Tania) Noll of Random Lake, Craig (Adria) Noll and Dustin Noll, both of Belgium; six grandchildren, Case, Carlee, Trista, and Tucker Noll, Augusto and Avaette Noll; three sisters-in-law, Janice (Dan) Stoneberg of Princeton, Betty (Francis) Kleckner of Belgium, and Joan (Ted) Block of North Ft.Myers, FL; three brothers-in-law, Vernon (Marie) Jacoby of West Bend, John and Mark Jacoby, both of Belgium; nieces and nephews. Roger was also an American father to two foreign exchange students from Japan, Sayaka and Kozo. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant grandson, Foster Noll. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Rosary Parish - Holy Cross Chapel in the Town of Belgium on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 5 pm with the Rev. James Ernster officiating. Family and friends may greet the family at Holy Rosary Parish - Holy Cross Chapel on Sunday from 1-5 pm.
