Roger Halbach

Roger E. Halbach, 69, of Sheboygan Falls died on Friday, March 12, 2010 at Harmony Living Center in Sheboygan where he had resided since June. Roger was born on May 25, 1940 in Fond du Lac, the son of the late Alois and Catherine (Boehnlein) Halbach. He graduated from New Holstein High School in 1958. Roger served in the US Army following high school. On July 22, 1969 he married Helen Felton. She preceded him in death on November 15, 1992. Roger worked for the Kohler Co. for 42 years before his retirement in 2005. He belonged to the Kohler Quarter Century Club. Roger was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and charter member of the Packers Partners Club of Champions. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, bird watching, horses, nautical scenes, puzzles, reading, playing Sheepshead, and ice cream. Roger is survived by two sons, Bruce Halbach and Russell "Rusty" (Lori) Voight of Adell; three grandchildren, Heather Voight, Amy (Charles) Mason, and Brian Gilmore; three great grandchildren, David, Autumn and Caden; four sisters, Hilaria Grebe of Fond du Lac, Betty (Marvin) Kraus of Mt. Calvary, Marie (Bob) Mueller of Chilton, and Ruth Halbach of Texas; two brothers, Alois Jr. (Delores) Halbach of New Holstein and Allen (Christine) Halbach of Kiel; one sister-in-law, Monica Halbach of Chilton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; one brother, Earl Halbach; and two brothers-in-law, Carlton Grebe and Herbie Mullenbach. Funeral services will be held at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls at 1 pm on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 with the Rev. Gail Mitchell officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday from 11 am until the time of the service.
