Rogene Retzlaff

Rogene A. Retzlaff, 87, of Sheboygan, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. Rogene was born on August 2, 1929 in Louis Corners to Edward and Mary (Huyck) Onnink. She was a 1947 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. On August 26, 1950 she married Donald P. Retzlaff at the United Church of Christ in Kohler. He preceded her in death in 2008. Rogene was an office assistant for J.S. Richardson, Goodnough Accountants, Sheboygan Paper Box Co and then worked for J.S. Richardson again until her retirement. Rogene enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, traveling with friends and wintering in Arizona with Don for 15 years. Rogene is survived by her two daughters, Debra Retzlaff and Mary Unmuth, both of Sheboygan; two grandchildren, Erik (Laura) Unmuth of Waterford and Jennifer (significant other Justin Stankiewicz) Unmuth of Eagle; one brother, LeRoy (Carol) Onnink of Sheboygan; one brother-in-law, Jospeh Mauer of Sheboygan Falls and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Retzlaff of Scottsdale, AZ. Rogene is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rogene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; one sister, Janet Mauer; brother-in-law, Roger Retzlaff and one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janet (Arthur) Blindauer. Per Rogene's wishes no services will be held. An inurnment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Sheboygan.
