Robert Wangeman

Robert Alexander Wangeman, 76, of Sheboygan, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.Robert was born on October 17, 1940, in Sheboygan, WI to Robert and Helen (Meyers) Wangeman. He was a graduate of Central High School. Following his graduation, Robert faithfully served in the Armed Forces until 1969. On December 21, 1968, Robert married Elaine Arpke in Sheboygan. Robert was employed at Walmart where he worked in receiving until his retirement in 2009.He was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Sheboygan. He was an active volunteer at his church where he served as a greeter, served in transportation, and helped in the nursery. He enjoyed watching sports, reading history, and spending time with his family.Robert is survived by his spouse, Elaine Wangeman of Sheboygan; one daughter, Helena Vanessa (David) Villarreal of Cedar Grove; two Grandchildren, Michael (Nikolina) Villarreal, and Vanessa Villarreal; one great-grandchild, Riley Villarreal; a brother-in-law, Rodney (Kim) Arpke; and a sister-in-law, Judy Langman. Robert is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen Wangeman.A funeral service to celebrate Robert's life will be held at Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Sheboygan on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 5pm.Relatives and friends may greet the family at Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Sheboygan on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 2pm until the time of service at 5pm.
