Richard Hemschemeyer

Richard "Dick" Carl Hemschemeyer, 68, of Sheboygan passed away Saturday, June, 27, 2015 at Froedtert Lutheran Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee. Dick was born on February 10, 1947 in Sheboygan to Robert and Elsie ( Messner) Hemschemeyer. Dick attended Plymouth High School. On November 12, 1966 he married Esther Lefeber at Greenbush Methodist Church. Dick worked in the maintenance department at Thonet Industries and then at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Dick enjoyed watching movies and the Green Bay Packers and loved puttering on anything he could, especially cars. Dick is survived by his wife of 48 years, Esther; two sons, Tracy (Dawn) Hemschemeyer of Sheboygan and Christopher Hemschemeyer of Sheboygan; two grandsons, Nicholas and Matthew; eight sisters, Nancy (Ray) Stone, Bobbie Tarr, Pat Scholz, Linda (Jeff) Wickland, Pam (Mike) Neu, Sandy (Ernie) Rathke, Joana Hemschemeyer and Donna Bifano; two brothers, Jeff (Bonnie) Hemschemeyer and Steve Messner; two sisters-in-law, Julia Henning and Mary Ann (LaVern) Koenen; two brothers-in-law, Richard Brown and Mr.and Mrs. John Lefeber. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Jody, two brothers-in-law, John Tarr and George Brown, his grandparents Alvin and Elsie Hemschemeyer and his father and mother-in-law, Alex and Grace Lefeber. A funeral to celebrate Dick's life will be on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 2pm at Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Alan Kubow officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls from 11am until the time of service at 2pm. A memorial fund has been established in Dick's name.
