Richard Grauman

Richard H. Grauman, 75, of Sheboygan Falls died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center after a courageous 16 month battle with cancer. Richard was born on June 21, 1938 in Sheboygan to Herbert and Miriam (Opperman) Grauman. He is a 1957 graduate of Central High School in Sheboygan. Richard joined the US Navy and served his country from 1957-1961. On July 12, 1958 he married Kay Salter at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sheboygan Falls. Richard worked for 28 years at Grauman and Son Foods. In his retirement he worked for the City of Sheboygan Falls in the parks department. Richard was also a volunteer fire fighter for the city of Sheboygan Falls for 20 years. He was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls. Richard was also a member of the Sheboygan Falls Jaycees and marched with Classic Reunion. He was happiest while riding his Harley. He also enjoyed golfing, camping, and gardening. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and he adored his grandchildren. Richard is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kay; 3 daughters, Julie (Seth) Harvatine of Sheboygan Falls, Becky Grauman of Sheboygan, Amy (Jerrod) Klemme of Sheboygan Falls; 1 son, David (Joanne) Grauman of Sheboygan; his grandchildren, Ryan (Desiree), Katie, Tess, Ian, Cody, Lauren, Ashley, Amanda, Eric, Jacob, and Joshua; his mom, Miriam Grauman of Sheboygan; his sister, Karen (John) Kobelsky. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father and his daughter, Lori. A memorial service to celebrate Richard's life will be on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 4pm at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Inurnment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2pm until the time of service at 4pm.
