Raymond Edwin Herzog Raymond E. Herzog, 90, of 2402 North 28th Street, Sheboygan died on Friday afternoon, January 16, 2009 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls. Raymond was born on October 28, 1918 in Sheboygan, the son of the late William and Mary (Block) Herzog. He attended various Sheboygan area grade schools. On May 6, 1939 he married the late Elva Damrow at Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. She preceded him in death on April 23, 2002. Ray worked at the Vollrath Co., Pinehurst Farms, and later was a warehouseman for Schultz Sav-O in Sheboygan from 1953 until his retirement in 1983. He was also a part-time window washer. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, vice president of the church council, president of AAL committee, usher, and a member of the Couples Club and dartball team. He is survived by his daughter, Luaine Herzog of Sheboygan; two sons, William (Beverly) Herzog of Sheboygan and Wayne (LaFaye) Herzog, of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Keisha, Benjamin, Ashley, Linda, and Richard (Sara) Herzog; two great grandchildren, Nicholas and Jacob Herzog; one sister, Florence Zabel of Sheboygan; four sisters-in-law, Adeline Herzog of Howards Grove, Dorothy Herzog of Manitowoc, Alice Jaschob of Kiel, and Valeria (Walter) Rohde of Howards Grove. Ray was preceded in death by his wife of almost 63 years, Elva; two sisters, Mabel (Edwin) Damrow and Erna (Hubert) Vanderhoff; three brothers, Willard (Flora), Hilbert, and Orville Herzog; and three brothers-in-law, Allen Jaschob, Milton (LaVerne) and Edwin (Marie) Damrow. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev. Tom Gudmundson officiating. Burial will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Friends may call at St Paul Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 9am until the time of the service at 11 am.
