Philip Baumann

Philip H. Baumann, 72, of Oostburg, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay. Philip was born on January 29, 1941, in Plymouth, to Milton and Verona (Blanke) Baumann. He was a 1959 graduate of Plymouth High School. On June 17, 1960, he married Charlotte Tenpas in Hingham. Philip was employed with Kohler Company for over 30 years until his retirement in 1996. He was also employed for Perlick in Milwaukee from 1959 until 1969. Philip was a member of Hingham Reformed Church where he served as an elder and catechism teacher. He was a member of the Kohler Quarter Century Club. Philip loved spending time with family and friends, woodworking, feeding the birds, spending time on his garden tractor and tending to his yard. Philip is survived by his wife of 52 years, Charlotte; two daughters, Ann (Brian) Daane and Dawn (Rob) Blok, both of Oostburg; five grandchildren, Aaron (Nicole) Daane, Kenneth Daane, Caryn Daane, Alex (fiancee' Heather) Blok, and Jordan Blok; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Calvin Daane; two sisters, Mary Lou (Lee) Curtiss of Cascade and Charlotte Kallerud of Necedah; mother-in-law, Marjorie Tenpas of Sheboygan Falls; brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Philip was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Margie Barts, and father-in-law, Gordon Tenpas. Funeral services to celebrate Philip's life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 29, 2013, at Hingham Reformed Church with Rev. Steven J. Bakker officiating. Interment will take place in Hingham Cemetery in the Town of Lima. Relatives and friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and also on Monday at the church one hour prior to the service. A memorial fund has been established in Philip's name for Hingham Reformed Church.
