Peter Joseph McNulty, 72, of Sheboygan Falls, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center. Pete was born on May 24, 1939, in Manitowoc, son of Edmund and Mary Alice (Hoban) McNulty. He was a 1957 graduate of Valders High School and attended UW-Madison. On May 16, 1964, he married Judy Schwoerer in St. Nazianz, WI. Pete was employed as an industrial engineer with Kohler Company for 37 years, until his retirement in 2002. Pete was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls, where he served on the parish council, school board, human concerns committee, and as a youth ministry leader. He was a member of the Sheboygan Falls Jaycees, Falls Duffers Golf League, Quarter Century Club, and poker and bridge clubs. Pete was a volunteer for the Sheboygan Falls Middle School Reading Program and the Sheboygan Falls District Building Task Force. Pete enjoyed golf, playing cards, baseball, wrestling, bird watching, gardening, travel, his Santa collection, reading, and going for walks. He had great pride in his Irish heritage. Pete will always be remembered for his love and commitment to his wife, children, grandchildren, family, friends, community, and his faith. Pete is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judy; two daughters, Colleen (Dan) Huibregtse of Plymouth, and Sheila (Lance) Doenier of Iron Mountain, MI; two sons, Shawn (Holly) McNulty of Mukwonago, and Ryan McNulty of Sheboygan Falls; seven grandchildren, Megan, Grace and Riley Huibregtse, Ellyce and Jonah Doenier, and Claire and Joseph McNulty; two sisters, Mary Ann (Mike) Albers of Denmark, and Marge (Joel) Weichelt of Kewaunee; mother-in-law, Olive Schwoerer of St. Nazianz; four sisters-in-law, Shirley (Jack) Kimla of Port Washington, Donna (Ron) Schneider of Sherwood, Karen (Dennis) Graf of School Hill, and Mary (Rich) Ross of Brillion. Pete is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many, many friends. Pete was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, William Schwoerer, and granddaughter, Leah Doenier. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Blessed Trinity Parish with Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 3:00 pm until the time of Mass at 6:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established in Pete's name to further advance community educational programs for children.
