Penny Sopiarz

Penny Marie (Storlie) Sopiarz, 56, of Two Rivers passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls with her family by her side after a year-long courageous battle with cancer. Penny was born on June 13, 1959 in Eau Claire to Douglas and Jacqueline (Standford) Storlie. Penny attended Eau Claire North High School. Penny worked in housekeeping at Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc. Penny was a hardcore Green Bay Packer fan, enjoyed all the trips to Door County and loved spending time with her family and friends. Penny was loved and adored by all who knew her. Her bright smile will be dearly missed. Penny is survived by her partner and best friend for 21 years, Rick Norelius; 3 children, Joshua (Jamie) Storlie, Sarah Sopiarz and Christopher (Rebecca) Sopiarz all of Eau Claire; 9 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Victoria (Alfonso) Gonzalez of Two Rivers, Judy Storlie of Lake Halle and Renae (Michael) Bellows of Eau Claire; 2 brothers, Douglas Storlie of Two Rivers and Steven Storlie of Eau Claire; 2 furry children, Jazz and Lilly. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and an infant brother, Joseph. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 5th, 2015 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. at The Lutheran Church of Good Shepherd located at 1120 Cedar Street, Eau Claire, WI. There will be a casual gathering to follow at Lake Hallie Sportsman's Club located at 2910 109th Street, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729. Please join us for sweets, coffee, punch and treasured stories about our loved Penny. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice (W2850 State Rd 28 Sheboygan Falls, WI 53085) in Penny's name. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their love, friendship and compassion that they gave to Penny.
