Peggy Jean Flipse, 67, of Oostburg died peacefully with her family at her side on Monday morning, December 24, 2012 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center. Peggy was born on July 30, 1945 in Sheboygan, the daughter of the late Donald and Elizabeth (Nyenhuis) Shufflebotham. Peggy was a 1964 graduate of Oostburg High School. On October 5, 1964 she married Glenn Flipse in Galena, Illinois. Glenn preceded her in death on October 3, 2007. Peggy was a devoted homemaker and owned the Dutchman's Pub in Oostburg from 1987-94. Peggy was a lifelong member at the First Reformed Church in Oostburg. She was a charter member and chairman of the Heritage Day Committee in Oostburg. Peggy enjoyed golf, cake decorating, cooking, baking, word puzzles and her cat, Elizabeth. She is survived by her two sons, Dennis and Mike Flipse, both of Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Thomas, Stephanie, Elizabeth and Benjamin Flipse; one sister, Gail (Lincoln) Davies of Oostburg; one brother, James (Diane) Shufflebotham of Sheboygan; two brothers-in-law, Victor (Shirley) Pahmeier, James Flipse of Sheboygan; three sisters-in-law, Judy Shufflebotham of Oostburg, Mary Ann Fox of Sebastian, FL, and Joan Flipse of Oostburg. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Glenn Jr.; one sister, Donna Pahmeier; and one brother, Gary Shufflebotham; two brothers-in-law, Jim Fox and Robert Flipse. A funeral to celebrate Peggy's life will be held at the First Reformed Church in Oostburg on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Noon with the Rev. Wayne DeVrou officiating. Burial will follow at the Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at church on Saturday, from 10 am until the time of the service at Noon.
