Pearl M. Vogds

Pearl M. Vogds, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Lakehouse in Sheboygan. She was 98 years old.

Pearl was born to Alexander and Hildegarde (Meyer) Roob. She attended Central High School. She was united in marriage to Leander Vogds at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death in 1994. Pearl was employed at the Sheboygan Falls School District for 24 years, retiring in 1991. 

She was an active and devoted member of Blessed Trinity Parish. She was a member of the Christian Mother Society, the Senior Saints and the Prayer Chain. She volunteered at Pine Haven Nursing Home, the Sheboygan County Historical Research Center, Food Pantry and the Red Cross Bloodmobile. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed crossword puzzles, embroidering, latch hook, watching football and golf, doing yard work and playing cards with friends. 

Pearl is survived by one son Richard “Rick” Vogds of Sheboygan, two daughters: Joanne Vogds of Manitowoc and Sandra (David) Jacobi of Spartanburg, SC, one sister Diane Roob of Sheboygan, two grandsons: Scott (Jennifer) Jacobi and Shane (Tanya) Jacobi, both of SC, three great-grandchildren: Madison, Michael and Hope Jacobi, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, one sister, two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law and one nephew.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 12:00 noon-1:00PM. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls.
