Pearl E. Janisse, 87, of Oostburg died early Sunday morning, September 25, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Sheboygan. Pearl was born on September 10, 1924, in Cedar Grove, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Madeline (Kolste) Nyenhuis. She attended Cedar Grove High School. On May 9, 1947, Pearl married the late Donald E. Janisse in Cedar Grove. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1998. Pearl worked at Musebeck Shoe Factory in Cedar Grove and at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home in Sheboygan. Pearl was a member of the First Reformed Church in Oostburg. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and visiting with friends and family. Pearl was very close to her nieces and nephews and considered them as her own. Pearl is survived by her son, James of Oostburg; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Wayne) Ruesink of Cedar Grove, and Joyce Nyenhuis of Oostburg; one brother-in-law, Norman Janisse of Grafton; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; two brothers, Robert and John W. Nyenhuis; and a half brother, Roger Claerbout. A funeral to celebrate Pearl's life will be held at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg at 11 am on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, with the Rev. Brian Taylor officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in the Town of Wilson. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Tuesday from 9 am until the time of the service at 11 am.
