Paul Janey

Paul D. Janey, 58, of Brillion died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, June 7, 2016. Paul was born on December 12, 1957 in Sheboygan, the son of Richard and Irma (Mertes) Janey. Paul graduated from Sheboygan South High school in 1976. On September 21, 1996 he married Ruth Trepes in Cedarburg. Paul worked as an automotive service writer for over 40 years for various automobile dealerships. He enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, fishing, camping, baseball, football and spending time with his dogs. Paul is survived by his wife, Ruth of Brillion. Together, they had a "yours, mine, and ours" family which include two daughters, Heather Janey of Sheboygan and Courtney Janey of Brillion; one son, Justin Trepes of Brillion; a dear granddaughter who was his pride and joy, Jaylin Taylor-Dawkins; two sisters, Edith (Jerry) Taylor of Roanoke, VA and Florence (Lewis) Crouch of VA; two brothers, John (Faye) Janey of Juneau and Mark (Cheryl) Janey of Sheboygan; a sister-in-law, Dixie Janey of VA; his father-in-law, Leo (Karen) Trepes of Crivitz; and nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Arnold Janey. Family and friends will gather at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Saturday, from 11 am until the time of the service at 2 pm. A funeral to celebrate his life will take place at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in the Town of Wilson.
