Paul Honkanen

Paul Edward Honkanen, 43, of Sheboygan Falls passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Paul was born on February 20, 1973 in Milwaukee to David and Kathryn (Gray) Honkanen. He was a 1991 graduate of Brown Deer High School and then furthered his education at UW-Milwaukee, graduating with a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering. On August 26, 2000 he married Kelly Williams. Paul was a Senior Staff Engineer for the Kohler Company from August 2008 until the present. Paul enjoyed motorcycling, the outdoors, kayaking, woodworking, and home brewing beer. He was quite the "do it yourselfer". He had a never ending thirst for knowledge that he always tried to pass onto his boys. Paul's most favorite hobby was his family, especially his boys, he loved spending time with them and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Kelly; his two precious boys, Kyle and Leo; his parents, David and Kathryn Honkanen; two brothers, John (Sandy) Honkanen and William (Jen) Honkanen; his parents-in-law, James and Kristine Williams; brother-in-law, James (Andrea) Williams; nieces and nephews, Olivia, Madeline, Toby, Samuel and Max; and his grandma-in-law, Marion Williams. Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents. To celebrate Paul's life there will be an open house held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the family home beginning at 4pm. A memorial fund is being established in Paul's name.
