Patricia Oertle

Patricia "Pat" Jane Oertle, 90, of Cedar Grove passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Cedar Grove Gardens. Pat was born on July 17, 1924 in Milwaukee to George and Minnie (Hills) Henes Sr. She graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee. On June 9, 1944 she married Lawrence Oertle, Jr. in Milwaukee. Pat devoted her life to staying home and taking care of her family. Pat is a member of St. John UCC in Random Lake. She loved traveling and going hiking in her younger years. She enjoyed listening to her music, reading and doing crossword puzzles. Pat is survived by her husband of 70 years, Lawrence; four sons, David (Lisa) Oertle of New Jersey, Eric (Pat) Oertle of Racine, Michael (Chris) Oertle of Florida and Scott (Ruth Ann) of Virginia; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Henes of Oconomowoc. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, George Henes Jr, and one sister, Geraldine (William) Whitmill and her beloved dogs and companions, Patches, Barney and Mandy. A funeral service to celebrate Pat's life will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg with Rev. Joe Brath officiating. Burial will take place at Valhalla Memorial Park in Milwaukee. Relatives and friends may gather on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg from 10am until the time of service at 11am. A memorial fund for Cedar Grove Gardens in Pat's name is being established.
